I think a lot of people experience a similar thing when they first see a counsellor. I imagined for a moment doing the whole ‘I don’t want to talk, sit there in silence for the entire’ thing that you see in the movies, but just continued to remind myself that I was the one seeking medical help, and that no one could help me unless I was willing to let them. I continued to try to be honest anyway.
